MBA
Admissions
To be admitted under regular admission to the MBA Program,
applicants should have:
a
bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college
or university; and
a
minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (4.0
scale) for all undergraduate work attempted or a minimum
cumulative GPA of 3.0 on all upper level undergraduate course
work attempted; and
an
acceptable score on the Graduate Management Admission Test
(GMAT).
All
applicants must submit the following:
1.
A completed application for admission to the MBA Program.
Application forms are available from the MBA Program offices
at the Natchez campus or from the School of Graduate Studies
on the main campus.
2.
An official transcript of all academic work on the collegiate
level certifying that the applicant has received the baccalaureate
degree. The transcript should be sent directly by the institution=s
records office to the Alcorn State University School of
Graduate Studies. Applicants should also submit any other
transcripts necessary to provide a complete review of prior
collegiate academic course work.
3.
The official score on the GMAT. The score should be sent
directly by the ETS to the Alcorn State University School
of Graduate Studies.
4.
A personal handwritten statement of professional goals (no
more than 500 words).
5.
At least two letters of recommendation.
6.
An application fee of $10.00.
Applicants will be evaluated for full admission to the MBA
Program when all admission materials are complete. When
the admissions committee has made a decision concerning
an application, the Director of the MBA Program will communicate
the decision to the applicant. Decisions regarding admission
to the School of Graduate Studies will be communicated by
the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies.
