He is the lead author of the text, Quantitative Methods, and the QuantMethods online software package. He is a registered Professional Industrial Engineer (Industrial), and is an active member of the Decision Science Institute (DSI). Prior to joining the Alcorn State University business faculty he was president of the Southwest Region of the Decision Sciences Institute. Dr. Pinney and his wife Van enjoy his membership in the Musical Arts League, Natchez Historical Society, and the Scottish Heritage Society, and are active members of Trinity Episcopal Church.
